The JHS 424 Gain Stage brings the iconic lo-fi, elastic tones of the TASCAM Portastudio 424 straight to your pedalboard. From rubbery cleans to high-headroom grit and smashed-out fuzz, this pedal captures the sound that inspired artists from Springsteen to Spoon. Faithfully recreating the original 424 MKI circuit with vintage op-amps, it offers intuitive controls for volume, dual-stage gain, and bass/treble EQ, plus a balanced XLR output for direct-to-mixer recording. Use it as a preamp, overdrive, distortion, or full-on fuzz—stack it with your favorite amp or pedals for ultimate tonal versatility. Experience the legendary Portastudio sound without hauling around a massive recorder—perfect for home, studio, or stage. CONTROLS: VOLUME (Corresponds to Portastudio® Master) - Controls the output volume. Left is less, right is more. On the Portastudio 424, this is the MASTER fader. GAIN 1 (TRIM) - Sets how much preamplification will be added to the input signal. On the Portastudio 424, this is the TRIM control. GAIN 2 (CHANNEL) - Sets the volume level of the second gain stage. On the Portastudio 424, this is the CHANNEL fader. BASS - Cuts or boosts bass frequencies. Left is less, right is more. TREBLE - Cuts or boosts the treble frequencies. Left is less, right is more. INPUT - Top ¼” right jack. OUTPUT - Top ¼” left jack. XLR OUTPUT - XLR jack on the left side of the pedal. This is a balanced output which can be used as a direct-out straight into a mixer or interface. The 1/4” output and XLR output can be used simultaneously. GROUND LIFT - Dip switch on the left side of the pedal. If you experience a hum/buzz while using the XLR output, use this switch to lift the ground. POWER - Requires 9VDC center negative power and consumes 50mA. The 424 Gain Stage is silent, soft touch switching with a buffered bypass. These are the softest, thickest long sleeved t-shirts ever. Highly recommend...cannot believe the price and that they are Amazon-basics...quality is that of a good popular brand name at three times the price. Bought one last week and washed it up and it's so nice that I bought several more. It is true to size- looks a bit on the big size until you wash it and then it's very true to size. Hubby is 6'1" (205lb) and wears an xl.

Yeah, they shrink, a lot.

I knew they would shrink but I needed to know if so on permanent press cycle. Well they shrink a lot. I bought two and they were very comfortable and soft. I'm not returning since Amazon made it clear they will shrink. I'm the dummy.

A Good Value

I really like these shirts and have ordered a number of them so far. They're warm and comfortable and are of overall good quality. They will shrink substantially, and the arm length will be reduced. That being said I just order them a size larger than what I typically wear and know that the sleeves will be a bit short. Otherwise they're a quality shirt. The material is thick, but not overly so, and they don't seem to fade even after numerous washes. These shirts are durable, well-made, and are a good value.

Great Quality, 100% cotton, buy 1 size larger. I’m 100% happy!

I will be buying more of these. I knew they were 100% cotton so I bought a large when I normally wear a medium. After I washed it in warm water and dried it in the dryer, it fits perfectly. The cotton is of great quality not thin and flimsy. I expect to get plenty of wear out of this t-shirt. Also, it did not fade. I recommend buying one size larger.

American sizing!
Size: XX-Large, Color: Oatmeal Heather, Pocket Description: No Pocket
These are great t-shirts and fantastic quality for the price. I bought them for my sons. The cotton is thick and nice-looking, the ivory colour is beautiful and it looks a lot more expensive than it is. I bought one for my eldest son and then bought two more (one for each son). The first one I bought has been getting a lot of wear for about three months. I wash it in the machine and line dry it because we line dry everything where we live. It has held up beautifully, has not shrunk, pilled or changed in any way. The only thing, and it is not a bad thing, per se, is that this is REAL American sizing. We are all tall with broad shoulders, and my eldest is a bit heavy. (Around 1m84 and 105 kg, I'm feeling too lazy to convert it online, but probably in the area of 6'1" or 2" and over 200 pounds.) So I ordered 2XL, which is what he wears in most inexpensive brands we get here. But, although he has been wearing it, as he needed cool-weather clothes, it is long in the sleeves and body and also wide. So I ordered him a second one in XL and he will set the XXL aside until he needs it, or gains weight. I would definitely recommend sizing down from what you usually order. But these are great! The Amazon interface seems to be prompting me to address functionality and cut. The cut is very good, although both large and long. I don't really know what they mean by functionality. It's a t-shirt, not ski wear or running shoes! The cotton fabric is nice and thick and soft. It's comfortable. It definitely works, as a garment. Don't know what else to say!
(Just to let you know, I am a real human ordering from overseas. I am not paid or even receiving merchandise in return for this review, although I wouldn't say no if they offered.)
